A humble effort by the Christian community to reach out & serve the city of Delhi

India has been witnessing the second wave of the pandemic and the Government & the health sector is dealing with a challenging situation to cope with the same. There is an increasing dearth of oxygen, medicines and infrastructure. Each day the country is witnessing heart-wrenching stories of despair, distress and death. With the nation, the national capital has also witnessed a steep rise in the number of cases, the situation seems to be worrisome.

To combat this situation and to ensure that medical services are provided to Covid patients who are unable to get immediate medical assistance, Mr. Satya Chakrapani of Delhi House Society (DHS) along with Pastor Samir Deokuliar of The Delhi Movement; A Concerned Christians Collective approached Dr. Michael Williams, Dean of Mount Carmel Schools to set up a makeshift medical care centre in Delhi, as a first such effort by the community.

‘The Vijay Williams Covid Care Centre’ is a 100-bedded facility equipped with oxygen which can accommodate patients with mild to moderate symptoms and has been made functional using the auditorium and a few classrooms. The centre was officially made operational on the 10th May, 2021 wherein various leaders from the community and the officials from the government visited the facility to bless this effort. The Centre is equipped with doctors, nurses and over 50 volunteers who cater to the needs of the patients. The centre has also tied up with two reputed hospitals to admit severe cases that cannot be handled at the centre and almost three patients with severe symptoms have been timely moved to the hospital care.

Please join us in providing immediate medical assistance to those in need:
